The SBS student learns to hear God's central message from every book of the Bible during their 9-month course of study. Students are taught to hear and discover what God is saying through his Word, to apply it to their own lives, and to communicate it effectively to others.

By learning to study the Bible inductively, one book at a time, students are equipped to put aside preconceived ideas and to hear God speaking through his Word for themselves. By observing what the text says, interpreting what it means to the original reader, and applying the timeless truths in their own lives, students draw near to God by learning more about his character, his ways and his purposes in the world today.

The results of spending nine months hearing God speak through his Word are staggering.

Students develop of a biblical worldview to undergird all areas of life and ministry. They gain a deeper experience of God's grace and power. They grow in intimacy with God through learning to pray his Word. Students learn to integrate the entire story of the Old and New Testament as they see how all the books fit together to communicate God's message. They leave with well developed study skills as well as teaching experience from every type of Bible literature that equip them for a lifetime of living and teaching God's Word.
